What should I expect when I get dental veneers?
If you’re really interested in dental veneers, you will most likely visit my office three times before you get that beautiful smile. The first visit is a consultation where Dr. Neuman determines if veneers are right for you. Once we determine that you are appropriate for dental veneers, the second and third visits will be to make sure we get your veneers just right.
Dr. Neuman will also shave down a minimal amount of enamel from your natural tooth to make room for your veneers. Then an impression of your teeth will be made and sent to a lab for fabrication. This usually takes about 1-2 weeks. Once we receive the veneers, we will make sure they match the rest of your smile—taking tooth color into account. Once the veneers have been checked and you’re happy with them, we will shine a special light over them to cement them into place. And there you have it—your new and improved smile!
