Dr. Emily Garfinkel is a General and Cosmetic Dentist who is committed to providing exceptional, compassionate care for her patients. A lifelong artist, Dr. Garfinkel strives to integrate the scientific principles of dentistry with beauty and function so that you can look and feel your best.

Dr. Garfinkel graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Anthropology, solidifying her desire to become a doctor who incorporates humanism and empathy into how she practices dental medicine. She then earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Columbia University and completed a General Practice Residency through Northwell Health at North Shore/LIJ Hospital on Long Island. She was selected to be Chief Resident while also completing a two year fellowship in Implants and Advanced Prosthodontics. Throughout her time working in private practice, she also continues to further her education in order to stay up to date with the most current dental techniques.

When you meet Dr. Garfinkel, you’ll immediately sense her passion for improving people’s lives through dentistry- whether that means chatting about the newest electric toothbrushes, carefully reviewing a treatment plan, or providing a life-changing smile makeover. Dr. Garfinkel strives for an atmosphere that is relaxing for everyone. Her extensive research on dental fear and anxiety has guided her towards a mission of comfortable care in a judgement-free zone.

In her free time she loves cooking, drawing, staying active, and practicing her Spanish skills.
